Legends of Tomorrow ♦ The Originals ♦ Of King and Prophets ♦ Star Wars: The Force Awakens
Maisie Richardson-Sellers stars in The CW series “DC’s Legends of Tomorrow” as Vixen, the newest superhero to board the Waverider and join the ranks of the Legends of Tomorrow. Like her granddaughter, Mari McCabe, Amaya’s powers are derived from the mysterious Tantu Totem, which allows her to magically access the abilities of animals.
Richardson-Sellers was born and raised in London. Her parents are actors, and she’s spent most of her youth around theatres which fueled her interest in the performing arts from a young age. Upon graduating from James Alleyn’s Girls School, Richardson-Sellers was keen to further both her acting and her academic interests. She attended The University of Oxford where she graduated with a BA Hons in Anthropology and Archaeology. While attending college, she performed in a wide range of plays, both classical and modern.
Upon leaving university, Maisie was offered her first professional acting role, in ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Following this, she got a leading role in The CW’s series “The Originals,” playing Rebekah Mikaelson/Eva Sinclair, in season two and season three. In April 2015, Maisie began work on the series, “Of Kings and Prophets,” in which she starred as Michal, the youngest daughter of King Saul, and future wife of King David.
When she’s not acting, spends her time sailing and documentary filmmaking.
